Weaning to food only?

So, ideally by 1 year there are no more bottles. How are you guys doing it? My guy still takes up to 6 4oz bottles a day 🤦‍♀️

This isn’t always true. A lot of kids are still on bottles past a year. I just talked to our doctor about this and she said it’s fine. Just less bottles more food. At 1 offer food before bottles instead of bottles then food. They don’t have to be off formula or BM at 1

Oh and I should mention we’re on 3 solid meals when switching out milk for whole milk I’m going to send a snack like half a banana to daycare or some other healthy option

Not sure either I think at a year I’ll replace the mid day bottle w milk then slowly switch til it’s all whole milk.

Teach them to use a cup (open, 360, whichever) and then use that instead of a bottle. You can give breastmilk/formula in it, once they turn a year you can transition them to whole milk. Talk to your doctor to make sure thats what they recommend though
