I now know why people wait until the baby is born to announce their name.

I finally gave in and told my coworkers my baby’s name. All day she’s walked around asking people “what do you think when I say the word/name EMBER?”

No matter what is said, I’m not changing the name so why make a big deal of it? It makes you think of something less positive than it does for me, that’s fine. Why continue to tell me and bring it up?

This is my first kid, so I guess lessons are learned. But I love the name, it has so much meaning, my husband is attached to it. But next time, I might not mention it until the baby is here (If we have a second).
