So I am transferring after I finish my last 3 semesters at community college. I have a boyfriend (who is my first one) and have been with him for a few years. I’m going to stay in a dorm a hour an a half away and live on campus, I will probably go home every other weekend to see my family but it may be less than that since my major requires a ton of studying and work. My boyfriend wants to get an apartment with me and live together, but I don’t think that’s smart. I want to experience living in a dorm and being around friends and living the college life , is that so wrong ? I won’t have a job, he won’t have a good paying one, rent is pretty expensive, I want to save money, I’ll have nothing to fall back on if something bad happens, I know no one or nothing about the area, and about 50 other factors. Am I the bad guy here? I am 18 and will be 19 when I transfer. My boyfriend is not happy at all and thinks I don’t care about him since I want to stay in a dorm.
