What is this?

This is not my hairy leg, lol. It’s my husband’s 😂 but he has this patch on his leg and it’s really itchy. He’s had it for a few days. I want to make an appointment with a dermatologist but it’s late here now and thought I’d see if any of you know what it could be. It’s about the size of a dime
