September Birth Story.
I've tried to sit down and write this so many times just never get the chance so here we go. :)
On September 10th 2019 at 8pm I began to have contractions that were about 10 mins apart. My fiancee got home from work and I didnt say anything because he works 2 jobs and I knew he was tired and had to be at his other job at 3am the next morning well by 3am that next morning my contractions were now 6 mins apart. I finally told my fiancee and he called out of work I was super ready for this baby to come I was only 38 weeks and 2 days along but because I had hyperemesis the whole 9 months and having gestational diabetes I was just ready for the pregnancy to be over. So we started walking around the apartment complex with him holding me through every contraction by like 5am my contractions were about 3 mins apart I called l&d and they told me to wait a little longer so we kept walking by 7am they were at 2mins apart so we went in. We got to triage and I was in so much pain but was only 2cm dilated. Because I was in so much pain my dr decided to keep me and put me on pitocin to help me dilate faster. Well about 12 hours go by and I was still only 2cm dilated. And the contractions were so intense I could no longer breath through them I was just full on screaming. The dr reccomend I go ahead and get the epidural because if my body relaxed then I may start to dilate. I was going to wait until I was 4 or 5 cm because I didnt want to be a baby but by that point it had been 24 hours. So I went ahead and got the epidural within the hour I was 3cm. By Morning I was finally 10cm dilated and was ready to push after 40 mins of pushing and 2nd degree tears my Son Christopher Lee was finally born at 10:53am Sep. 12th 2019 weighing 7lbs 2oz. It was instant love. 39 hours of labor but it was so worth it and I have such a wonderful supportive Fiancee that did everything to make me comfortable throughout my whole pregnancy. I love both of my boys so much.
