Don't get too caught up using the heart beat monitor. It can be very stressful when you can't hear it or baby moves and it gets more faint later on. My ped advised against this. Baby is way too small and behind your pubic bone to hear anything. Wait until you pop around 16-20 weeks. But even then like I said be careful you don't get obsessed with the monitor. I've seen some mom's it causes way too much anxiety! Good luck
