Cancelled my 39 week induction this morning. Elective, but I have precipitous labors (under an hour) and was so worried about making it to the hospital. I have this nagging feeling about pitocin- despite having previous positive induction experiences. My all natural birth was horrific pain- but the recovery was just SO much better 🤷🏻‍♀️

I asked about getting induced at 36 weeks because of how uncomfortable I am. And I got told we could talk about it but then my ob checked my cervix and told me I was 3cm dilated and probably wouldn’t make it to 39 weeks. Well here I am at 38 weeks and 3days and tomorrow at my appointment I’m going to talk about inducing which my ob does it at 39 weeks.

My first midwife said I was being induced between 40 and 40 +6, and my second midwife said since I have chronic hypertension they want to induce me at 39 weeks.. so this Friday I’ll possibly be having my girl 🥺
