( I live in Florida if that makes a difference)

Okay so we have been living in this apartment a few months now and the maintenance people will stop in whenever they want without giving us ANY type of notice other than knocking and saying “maintenance “ and want to come in. Where my SO lived alone in an apartment before we got together ans they would leave a note saying to expect people to come check on this certain date , basically letting you know. Now i have a 3 year old on a nap schedule and I’m 5 Months pregnant and I feel uneasy with the idea that they can just drop in whenever they please and we have no notice.

When my SO went to the office to ask them about it they told him they don’t “make appointments “ for maintenance which that wasn’t what he was asking he just wanted some notice but she said it sounded like we were refusing them to come in.

So my question is, is that normal for apartments to do that or are they supposed to give you some type of notice?

Also this isn’t pregnancy related but I needed to ask
