How long to fall asleep?

How long does it take your little to fall asleep- either for a nap or for bedtime? Sometimes my son goes right to sleep, but other days/nights it can take a full on hour (or longer) of him laying in his crib - not crying but rolling around or kicking the walls or standing up and talking. What are we doing wrong?

Depends...it takes her usually 2-5 mins to fall asleep for her one nap now, but at the end there before we transitioned to 1 nap, she was taking 15-20 mins, and over 30 for bed! 
Some nights still, she takes 15-20 mins to fall asleep for bed, but I would say she averages 10-15 for bed. 
My guess is, depending on his schedule, he may be actually overtired. It really depends on his wake windows and such. He could also not be tired enough. I would have to know your schedule. 
I think I remember you posting about being in the regression too, and that very well could be part of it too. I hate when my girl takes longer than 20 mins to fall asleep(like it drives me nuts😂), so I feel your pain girl!

Naps right away ( If he naps usually 2 days a week max ) and then bedtime we do routine up later on weekends and always within 10 mins max

Nap time is 5-10 mins. Bed time is normally 10-20 mins. Though we had a weird night last night where it took her like, 45 mins to fall asleep. But she wasn't upset or anything so idk what that was about. I don't usually worry too much about it if she's just relaxing quietly in her crib.
