Question

My foundation gets patchy when I use drug store foundation. Even when I prime and moisturize my face it looks patchy. The only way I can get my face to not look patchy is by wearing Estee Lauder double wear and it’s really exspensive and hard to keep up with. Any advice?

I definitely prefer more expensive brands for my foundation but I agree the price starts to add up and gets too much. I haven’t been able to find a good substitute for the expensive stuff I like, so I try to cut back on other things. Maybe try drugstore primers and powders but keep buying the foundation so you’re at least spending less in other parts of your makeup routine. Maybe shop around and see if anything comes close to working as well as the Estée Lauder but I can’t think of anything that comes to mind. It sucks makeup is so expensive! I’ve been trying to cut back in other places because I need a good foundation to cover up blemishes. Good luck!

an alternate foundation would be maybelline fitme foundation! also try using different types of applicators and see which one you prefer. a dampened sponge, foundation brush, fingers, etc. i love the estée lauder foundation but i use the fitme foundation as more of an everyday thing since it’s cheaper.
