All of the sudden asking to see her
I left my kid’s father while I was pregnant with my daughter. He was getting progressively more abusive and I couldn’t imagine exposing another child to him. (I left him almost exactly a year ago)
Before I left him he NEVER wanted anything to do with our son. Ever. He screamed at him and would push him out of his way. Flip out over the littlest things. He now sees my son once a week for 4 hours (supervised). Half the time he picks him up late and brings him home early, or he just doesn’t show up.
My ex goes back and forth from being awful to “I’ve changed give me another chance” he just recently was trying to get me back again, it obviously didn’t work and now he just texted me out of the blue asking when he gets to see my daughter (she’s 6 months). He’s held her twice. Both times in the first week of her life. He never asks about her or if he can see her, but he’s making it sound like I’m keeping her from him.
She’s kind of a difficult baby and I’m TERRIFIED he would shake her or hurt her. My son was a dream and he would flip out on him at this age while I was there.
We have a court date on the 20th of March for custody stuff. Should I just wait until we get a judge’s verdict? What should I do? I don’t want to keep them from their father, but he’s awful and I’m terrified of what he could do to them.
