Not babbling... should I worry?

Question

My daughter doesn’t seem to babble much, and I don’t think she ever really has. She yells and screams when she’s happy and mad. My parents have said on multiple occasions I should ask her pediatrician and that she should be more talkative. Should I be concerned?

I wouldnt worry my daughter who is just over 2 years old didnt really babbled she kind of just started to talk but not till she was close to a year. (Her first word was up🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️) We now cant get her to stop talking. Shes talking in full sentences in English most of the time and combining  words in French. My June baby has been babbling since she was 5 months old. Every baby is so different.

My daughter is the same. She very rarely talks/babies, just makes grunting sounds and cries lol

Babies start babbling (repeating syllables like babababa or dadadadada) anywhere between 25 and 50 weeks of age so you still have plenty of time! (I was just reading about this yesterday in David Crystal's book Listen to Your Child) and it reassured me too!

My son is just about 8.5 months and only really screams or yells when he wants to talk. Only does mamama when he cries. We work on it and I’ll bring it up to his pediatrician at his 9 month check up but I’m not worried about it at the moment. He’s responsive and engaging when we do talk but he just isn’t using consonants a lot. From what I read babbling usually starts anywhere from 8-11 months for most babies.

Mine has days where she did, then there's days when she's super quiet. I don't think it's anything to worry about.
