Cry with family?

My daughter is 5 1/2 and cries everyyy time she sees or hears my father in law. She’s has stranger danger for a while but had been getting better except for my FIL. Does anyone else’s LO cry for a specific person? Or know the reason why she does it?? 😩

My daughter doesnt cry but HATES my FIL. Hes a crass, loud obnoxious guy who CHASED her with his arms out wide like a bear and scared the shit out of her once when she was 2. Only person she avoids in the family. I dont give AF either cuz that's his own doing.

My first son didn't like my dad or my husband's brother or any other man (besides my husband) between the ages of 3 months and 18 months. So it wasn't necessarily a specific family member, but he did see my dad once a week since birth pretty much and he still reacted the same way to him as he did to every other male.

My 16 month old hates my husband's brother. He is really loud and tries to hold her and not let her down so naturally everytime she sees him she screams. He says "give me the baby babies cry" but think he's finally gotten the point that she only cries with HIM so I put my foot down and say "yeah but not my baby" lmao.
