Cutting tooth 9&10 symptoms

My LO is cutting his 2 bottom canines and since yesterday has had fever ranging from 99.7-101, swollen lymph node behind ear, tugging at ear, increased drooling, not wanting to eat too much solids (drinking milk just fine), and kind of irritable and clingy.

I am not sure if his symptoms are due to cutting teeth or if it could be something else?

Took him to dr today and no ear or throat infection to be seen. She said it could be the beginning of a viral infection/bacterial infection OR it could be teething.

Has anyone else’s LO had such symptoms with teething? Mine never had persistent fever when he cut first 8 teeth. I’m hoping it’s teething and not something worse 😩
