Do your kids run around the house ?

Like, literally ? I’m quite frustrated with this. Every single day all day long I have to tell them to stop running in the house and they don’t listen. I feel like she’s 5&4 they should comprehend this. It’s very embarrassing when guests come over and they just run around the house like madness. I’m going through depression all this noise is pissing me off. They don’t listen

If not, it’s unrealistic to expect them to not run inside

Is it winter weather where you live? Are they stuck in the house all day? Kids have a lot of energy and get bored. Maybe you should try and do some activities with them. Other wise, yes..... kids run. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Yes, my LO loves running, it’s a “game” we play daily where the whole family runs up & down the halls, through the house. I don’t see why not 🤷🏻‍♀️. And even if I didn’t like it, it’d probably not be a battle I was willing to fight. 
Do they break things when they run? I guess I just don’t see the big deal if they aren’t breaking themselves or important things.

It’s normal. They are children what else do you expect them to do? I understand It get annoying but that is when you firmly tell them it’s time to quiet down and give them some activities to do. Or you could sit down with them and give them attention. Do an activity with them or play with them. If you just yell at them constantly to “STOP!” They will not hear you...they will just keep running around like while chickens. But what they are doing is normal. My siblings & I use to run around being loud all the time. We’d get yelled at but didn’t listen. You have to be stern with them and be consistent. Always follow through with what you say you’re going to do. Like if you say you are going to set them in time out if they don’t quiet down or stop running then let them know and set them in time out or whatever you do to punish when they aren’t listening. It’s not the kids fault...you are the parent so therefore your actions matter and how consistent you are with punishment & making them mind will reflect.

Pretty normal but I would maybe rephrase it instead of saying  “don’t do” something say something like “we run outside and inside we walk” or something similar I’m sure if you google it you can get better examples. It’s because kids love doing things they’re not supposed to so if you say “don’t” they’ll just want to do it even more. Maybe think of some activities they can do during the day together that doesn’t involve running inside the house but keeps them busy.

Yes my 3 year old does. But she also has mild autism and is sensory seeking so we let her otherwise she melts down   Plus it’s winter and it’s not like we can go outside to get rid of energy
