Getting baby to take pacifier
Hey mamas, my little is 5 weeks old, breastfeeding, and has been dealing with my forceful letdown since my milk came in. Since my flow is so strong, she often finishes nursing in 10 minutes and is done. When she gets tired she wants to comfort suck and gets so angry when I put her on the boob and she’s attacked by a forceful stream of milk (it’s like a firehose, seriously!) and cries. I’m trying to get her to take a pacifier and she gets mad at that too, but I really think she’d benefit from the soothing suckling without choking on milk when she’s sleepy. Any tips on getting baby to accept a pacifier, or is it just not meant to be? We have the classic Avent Soothies and also some MAM newborn styles and she doesn’t seem interested in either at the moment. Thanks
