Ibuprofen (Motrin or Advil) is better, because it's also an anti-inflammatory, while Tylenol is not (it's a pain and fever reliever only). Since teething comes with an inflammation of the gums, it will really help with the pain. For us it was life changing in the worse few days of her first teeth!!

Ibuprofen (Motrin) also helps with inflammation so we use that. Also paracetamol (Tylenol) has never seemed to work for our guy when he's in pain, only for a fever.

I don’t think we ever gave Motrin for his bottom teeth, but for his top two we would alternate Motrin and Tylenol because the inflammation was bad.
