Tell me your stories.  I go Monday and want to be fully prepared ..  what happened the day of... and afterwards...what all did they say do?

It was one of the most painful things I’ve ever gone through.  And I took medication before it. 🤷🏼‍♀️
I was pregnant though a month later.  So no regrets on doing it.

Hi, I was so worried about this test as I had read everywhere that it was agony but mine didn't hurt at all! They took me in, I filled in a form, put on a gown, met the doctor, sat up on the bed while she explained everything in lots of detail, nurse held my hand as I was crying with fear, she put the thing in to open cervix - same as a pap smear, then I felt pressure as she used clamps ( tried to to think about that bit ) then the dye went in, not sure just made me feel I needed a pee. She turned the screen round, showed me my tubes and uterus. All clear and healthy. That was in Nov. Still ttc but not giving up hope! Best of luck!

I was worked up from everyone telling me how awful it was.. I went in I felt alittle cramping (not as bad as my period cramps) and was alittle crampy for the rest of that day but nothing awful.

I just did one last Monday and I experienced mild cramping from it for two days. I also had some spotting. I did not take any ibuprofen.

I had mine in Jan. Only had mild pain when the dye was injected. It lasted all of 10 seconds. They told me that my doctor would have the results that day. It’s didn’t bother me at all. No spotting or cramping after. I did take some ibuprofen before hand.

I had this test done and was told to expect period pain on the worst day. It didn’t touch mine however my tubes were clear and I didn’t have any pain. No preg afterwards either. 
I did have surgery this year and have stage 2 endromitois and I have PCOS. Just take some meds and a deep breath.

I was pregnant the following week! Had been trying for a year and a half. Pain wasn’t too bad  for me, I did bleed tho and wasn’t prepared for that lol

I was terrified and expecting the absolute worst pain, but only had light cramping when the balloon inflated. After that I was more interested in looking at the images of my tubes, which were open. I don’t know if it’s typical, but had some cramping later in the evening. I was great by the next day! I did take Ibuprofen an hour before the procedure.

I had it done today. I’ve never experienced something so painful in my life! As soon as the dye went in I was in instant pain. Sadly it could have been more painful for me since none of the dye made it into my Fallopian tubes and all the dye hit the wall of my uterus. I was told everyone has different experiences so it might not be that bad for you. After the procedure I had some cramps, light bleeding and I was a bit sore.
