Primrose oil capsule safe?

Is it safe to insert it in the vagina, to start labor? How does it work? Does it help with inducting labor in any way?

Answer

It helps soften the cervix, supposedly making it easier/quicker for the cervix to thin and dilate. Won't put you into labour if your body/baby aren't ready, though. With my first I just took it orally from 36 weeks and had her at 37w2d. With this bub, I've been taking it orally and vaginally since 37 weeks and I'm still pregnant, will be 39 weeks tomorrow 😫
