Ok please don’t judge me!!

So I’ll be the first to admit that I’m awkward when it comes to group settings, even more so when the attention is on me. I don’t like it and it makes me uncomfortable. Sooo my baby shower is this Sunday, and my question is ....don’t judge... what is the polite way to open cards in front of people? 😂 like, do I read them out loud and show everyone like a teacher at story time? Or do I read it in my head and have a awkward silence then thank the person when I’m done? If there’s money do I acknowledge it, or say thank you and move on?
