So today I had my ultrasound and NST. The ultrasound went great and I expected the stress test to be fast, but nope. I had to do it for 40 minutes and at one point I had to have a doctor and nurse come in and hold the darn thing because my baby was moving so much they couldn't get a good reading. We finally get a stable reading and the nurse says her heart rate kept dropping and rising so my doctor says I need to go to the labor and delivery unit at the hospital. At this point I was freaking out because I was so not ready to give birth. I get to the hospital and they hook me up to another NST but this time I'm being monitored 24/7. Her heart rate is still fluctuating and my blood pressure is a little high and I'm just laying in bed trying not to freak out. After 30 minutes my doctor arrives and says I'm doing way better here than at the office and that she wants me to go back to the office for another ultrasound to monitor baby's heart rate visually because baby and I are doing better. Then they'll send the images to the emergency ultrasound tech to be examined. So I go back to the obgyn, get my ultrasound and then they send them off and I'm approved to go home because it was just machine error! I'm so happy baby is ok but now I'll be getting weekly ultrasounds and NST's.
