Third hand smoking while pregnant?

I’d really love to hear everyone’s opinions on it
Definition: Third-hand smoke is contamination by tobacco smoke that lingers following the extinguishing of a cigarette, cigar, or other combustible tobacco product. (Wikipedia)
My own personal situation is someone who lives in my house smokes and my whole entire home smells like smoke. I’m 15 weeks pregnant and just want other people to give me their output

I hateee smoking. My husband doesn't smoke. My stepdad does and I can't stand it. I won't even go to my mom's house anymore because I'm pregnant and just not putting myself in that situation since I don't have to.
You can't even walk into a store without people standing around the door blowing smoke. I was going to go in the Dollar General one night and the workers were standing directly in front of the doors smoking. I drove off. Idk why people are inconsiderate of their bad habits effecting everyone around them. I feel strongly about this so don't mean to rant. Just can't understand why anyone would do it and why anyone would want to smell that way. 🤢

My midwife did a carbon monoxide test where I blew into a tube and it showed how much was in my system. I don’t know any smokers and mine was fine but she said she’s had it before where just living with a smoker can cause high levels to be found in the body. It’s recommended for anyone in the household to give up smoking. If this isn’t possible just try and stay away as much as possible.

My boyfriend smokes and thankfully we have had a rule absolutely no smoking in the house. He must go outside the house before he even lights his cigarette. The smoke is not good for anyone but especially not good for pregnant women. I try and stay away while he smokes but sometimes it’s in the car and I make sure he has his window down far enough I can’t smell it.

My husband was still smoking while I was pregnant with my first. (He quit after she was born) but the smoking smell bothered me soooo bad. I did hear about the risks of third hand smoke but it was more the smell that bothered me. So whenever he would want to smoke he had his smoking outfit, which we kept in a garbage bag near the door,  that he had to put on before he went outside and when he was done he put it in a garbage bag washed his hand face and teeth and then sat back down. And when he came back from work he immediately took a shower and put his clothes in a separate laundry basket that he washed. Looking back on it, I can’t believe he did that all for me. But like I said it was more the smell then the evidence I had on third hand smoke.

Always heard it as passive smoking. Or second hand. It's smoke it's bad, doesn't matter the degree.
