Anyone else have an annoying mother in law? I literally dread being around mine. My husband and I started dating end of 2014 and every single year until 2018 we have had major problems. The last two years haven’t been bad but from all the past drama and hurt it’s so hard for me to like her or want to be around her. She is a “has to be right all the time” kind of person. She makes remarks towards me that make me feel so stupid. Like she thinks I’m not capable of doing life alone. Before thanksgiving she literally asked me if I needed help writing a grocery list because she thought I didn’t know how to. Like I haven’t been doing it for literal years now.. Then at Christmas I asked her what day they were doing their Christmas this year so I knew for sure and she said “well before you were in the family we did it Christmas <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.glow.android.eve">Eve</a> at 6 but now that you’re in the family and we had to change it” like okay sorry to inconvenience you. And it’s CONSTANTLY comments like that! I can’t say anything because she will literally fall apart and say things like well I just won’t say anything ever again or just get pissed and stop talking to me. She is also very co dependent on her son. If we don’t see them for about a week she will literally call him and be like “I just miss you and haven’t seen you in awhile. I’m cooking supper if you want to come eat” It drives me crazy. We could see her on a Monday and then again on a Thursday and she will say “long time no see” like no we just freaking saw you. I obviously have a lot of built up emotions lol but I just needed to rant. They live 10 minutes from us and are constantly wanting to do things with us and I just can’t deal with her or my father in law. He’s a whole other story though. He likes to make sexual comments literally every second. I’ve learned to mute him though. There is just something about my MIL that hits my last nerve. 🤮
