SAHMs how much TV does your toddler watch in a day?

Just curious, I feel like people are never 100% honest when I ask.

My tv is always on but my kids play in their room or with their toys in the living room so honestly they probably watch about 1-2 hours of tv, honestly theres so much more to worry about than my kids watching TV Haha.

My tv is always on but my son hates tv unless it’s like animal planet shows . Weirdest 1 year old ever . My other two always loved pbs grew out the day while playing. But my son rejects everything besides animal planet and animal documentaries 👀

I generally try to have it be one day without and then the next day one movie (so like an hour and a half) but I’m getting later in pregnancy and I’m EXHAUSTED so sometimes we have extra long movie hangouts together so I can cuddle up ☺️ this morning we watched a few episodes of my pregnancy show and now we’re watching a movie so we’re already clocking about 2 hours

I usually put the tv on if I’m doing something, like cooking dinner, or if I need a nap. My son will be two next month and he enjoys a handful of movies and educational shows. He also will watch and play, so he’s not 100% just watching tv. Mostly we watch educational shows, though I do watch with him and engage him in the learning most of the time ( repeating colors, shapes, animals etc) My husband has issues with him watching tv at all but I told him unless he’s home with the toddler while pregnant ALL day, it’s not up to him.

During the day none. Like once a month or so he’ll watch a movie with us at night or something. He’s really only seen a handful of movies at 2.5 years old.

My son turned 2 in November. I’m 38 weeks pregnant and lately I’ve been lazy/tired. He’ll wake up at 8 and I bring him in to bed with me and give him YouTube on my phone until 9. Then we get through our day and I will let him watch YouTube on tv for an hour while I get dinner ready. On cold days he gets to watch an hour extra on tv since my back gets really bad and I just need to sit down. But most of the time he leaves and plays in his toy room or brings his toys over and plays while listening to his videos. If I don’t put tv on I have a playlist on Spotify he listens/sings to. SUPER SIMPLE SONGS on YouTube/Spotify is the best. He also loves Daniel Tiger. None of that videos of kids playing with toys in our house and then parents wonder why their kids don’t know ... He can count to 20, knows most of his alphabet, 8-10shapes, 10 colors and is learning how to count to 10 in English. (Learning Spanish first) I don’t feel too guilty about it since i let him watch educational shows and when my body allows it we spend time learning and outside.

My daughter only just turned 2, and our pediatrician recommended 30 mins or less per day of screen time, so I just go with that. I know people who still do none at age 2–or only in special circumstances—and people who let their 2 year olds have unlimited screen time. 🤷🏻‍♀️ It’s up to the parents, I think.

It’s always on with cartons. But she doesn’t watch it she plays with toys.. and dances with me, interacts with me, so much more to worry about then the tv on in my opinion
