Reached a new hair goal

Sabrina Rane

I’ve been trying to grow my hair out to tailbone length for years, but every time it would reach my bra strap I’d cut it all off. Mostly because everytime I went to the hairdresser they would either cut it horribly leading me to have to cut more off to correct it, or they would just take way too much off. After I moved to Florida I found my current hairdresser. She’s such a blessing. She has very long hair and when I told her I was trying to grow mine long, she recommended that I try dusting my hair instead of cutting or trimming it. Dusting the hair is basically taking off about a centimeter or two of hair. But since your taking so little off you have to do it a bit more often then a full trim. Using this technique I’ve been able to keep my ends healthy enough to reach my short term goal of almost waist length. I’m so proud ❤️ I’ve come such a long way. P.S I know it’s just hair but I am planning on donating it because I’m growing it to terminal length that way I can donate it to a foundation for people with cancer 💕 I actually donated my hair to Locks of love foundation when I was 10 years old. I’d love to be able to do it again.

How long did it take to grow that length? From shoulder length abouts?

I can see it! My hair would take a bit longer, we have bad rust in our water which dries it out more, boo lol.

I think your goal is great! I love when my hair is shorter, but I have dinated2to Locks of Love about 3 times already. After having my baby girl, I am dying to cut it again, but I really have no time to manage my hair! I haven't cut it goijg3on 2 years (my hair is naturally pin straight and I use no products or heat on it. My ends are healthy). My hair is just past my bra. Not going fornany particular length, but curious to see how long it'll get before I cut it again 😊
