Vaginal ultrasound?

So my next appointment is in a little over a week. I’ll be 11 weeks 5 days at that appointment. Do you think my doctor will finally do an abdominal U/S? I’m about 215, 5’5 and I have more fat in my middle than anywhere else but not super crazy. Any one weigh the same or more and had an abdominal U/S at 11 weeks? I’m just tired of vaginal ones 😩😩

I'm much bigger (5'6 and 278 lbs) and i was able to get a regular ultrasound at exactly 12 weeks.

I carry most of my weight in my mid section and thighs. At my 10 week 2 day appt they were able to do an abdominal ultrasound and see baby and heart beating perfectly. They will try with abdominal. If they can't see anything then they'll go vaginal. :)

I’m 5’6 and 230 and I had an abdominal ultrasound at 7 weeks. I didn’t have a vaginal ultrasound until 18 weeks because during my abdominal ultrasound the baby wouldn’t open its legs so we could see the gender. I opted to do a vaginal one because we couldn’t wait any longer lol. Sure enough it worked! Baby boy.

I carry all my fat and weight around my stomach and I was having an abdominal ultrasound at 6 weeks and 6 days. I think it can just depend on the equipment used. You should have an abdominal for 11 weeks

I carry my fat around my middle too and just about your size. Both my 8 week and an ultrasound at the hospital for a SCH at 10 weeks were done abdominally and were fine. Baby is still low in your pelvis so they went under the fat.

Yes they should do an abdominal at that time. It doesn’t have a lot to do with your size it’s about whether the baby is big enough to pick up clearly on an abdominal for what they want  to look at. Between 10-12 weeks is when abdominal ones usually start.
