What do people actually think of terms like sticky bean, bfp and aunt flow?

It's silly when grown women talk like children. We should be able to say period (Not aunt flow),  sex (Not baby dance),  abdomen (Not tummy).  We are strong, intelligent adults. I'm a doctor so  maybe I'm just used to using proper terminology but it bothers me when women use infantile terminology. We are better than that.

It’s just TTC lingo that’s been around a long time. It’s in every TTC forum/app because back years ago everything had a limited number of characters per post... so all the acronyms shortened a long question/reply.

I don’t mind Aunt Flo but sticky bean sounds weird and gross, like I picked an uncooked bean out of my sick toddlers nose lol. And idek what bfp is 🤷‍♀️
