New daycare
My baby has been going to daycare with this one woman since she was 3.5 months old. When she started it was her and 1 other baby both part time. And then 2 or 3 “big kids” who were like 2 and 3ish. So occasionally they’d both be there on the same but not normally. Fast forward to now, my baby is 10.5 months old and is there 5 days a week now. The sitter also has a 5 month old, 12m, 16m, 2 2.5 yr olds and her 3 yr old daughter and occasionally another 3 year old. And it’s just her!!!! She isn’t certified and it’s in her home but before I was totally comfortable with it but now I’m really concerned. It feels like chaos there most days when I pick up. The other day she said my daughter was “happy and not crying” so she didn’t give her her afternoon bottle yet.... it was 3:45..,, and since when do we let 10 months old decide when to eat.
Anyway I’m pretty sure I’ve made up my mind to switch my baby to daycare that’s certified and my sister in law sends both her kids there. There’s 3 instructors and a separate room for the littles. Pretty sure my baby will be the youngest.
But I’m a little nervous how my baby will do with the transition I know it’ll take time but any advice on how to make it go smooth?? Idk when the switch will be prob in the next month or so.
