I’ll explain my home situation first. There are 10 of us under one roof; 3 kids, 7 adults (11 if we had my newborn). Originally there was only 6 of us and everything was fine. Something happened with my boyfriend’s older sister now her, her girlfriend and their two kids are staying with us. On February 6th I had my little boy, he is now a week and 2 days old. I’ve tried to stay iin our space in the house because there are 3 cats in this house and I’m allergic as is he. I asked very kindly for no kids around him and for me to have the 30 day period; asked for nothing else.

His family feels just because we all live together I am obligated to bring him downstairs and around them. I feel as if I should be treated like a mom who lives in their own place; you wouldn’t go to her home everyday to touch her child right? Every last one of them smokes, every last one of them plays with that cat. They sent my boyfriend to tell me, “I feel like she doesn’t want us around the baby” “She’s being selfish with the baby”... He’s not an object or a toy? I’m honestly just tired and wanted this time to myself and don’t know what to do anymore or how to handle this. Any advice is welcome please!
