Elvie pump vs Madela

I currently have the Madela max Swing double, Ive only had it 3 months but I can already hear the motor struggling (it’s starting to sound very high pitched when switched on). I don’t know if this is related but the amounts I can pump has also decreased but I can still hand express an awful lot straight after I unhook myself whereas i used to be able to empty my breasts with the pump.

I’m quite disappointed as I’m not exclusively pumping, just morning x 1, evening x 1 and any missed feeds (which isn’t often as I’m still on maternity).

I’m taking it back, and was going to straight exchange it but I keep looking at the Elvie, it has good reviews but I don’t know whether to pay the extra. Going from a double to a single doesn’t bother me.

Has any one used both a traditional and Elvie pump - what are your thoughts?
