Hello everyone! Im 16 years old and I have a few questions about abstinence, and I am questioning if I am practicing abstinence.

I do have a boyfriend, Ill start with that.

But, we do NOT have sex. We do NOT have anal sex and we do NOT have oral sex.

The only thing we do, is hang out together, kiss and cuddle, and sometimes he will kiss my neck and grab my breasts. We have also dry humped fully clothed a few times.

What im asking is, is this abstinence? Am I abstinent? Do I practice abstinence?

I do not want to become pregnant, and im confused about this abstinance thing.

Also, in detail, what is abstinence? And how effective is it at preventing pregnancy?
