Anyone's child potty trained yet

My little lady is almost 16 months old. Very smart girl. Just didn't know if it was to early to start training, I've sat her on the potty a couple of times but feel she is more interested with the things around her and barely sits on the potty. I'm not in a big rush for her to go to the potty just didn't know if they needed to be potty trained before they go to school or daycare. I'm a stay at home mom soooo I don't know what's expected
