What scares me most...

Is seeing how many women in their 20s and 30s here having trouble getting pregnant, and here I am 42 y/o trying for my first... 😢 makes me feel like throwing the towel in and it’s very hard to stay positive...

I had my 1st at 40 never fell pregnant until I was 38 I had 4 pregnancy in that 12 month. Yes I had 3 losses but I got my baby in the end. You aren’t too old xx

I would immediately go to a fertility doctor to have yourself checked and your partners sperm sample taken. If all good, so relax and enjoy the ride.. if not, take the steps to help yourselves. I am having secondary infertility, and I’m upset I’ve waiting a year and a half to get ourselves checked. You don’t have that kind of time to waste. Good luck and baby dust to you!

I agree.  I’m 41 and actively trying for my first.  For the past year I’ve been told to “relax and have fun” it will happen.  It hasn’t, so I decided to be purposeful in this process.  I didn’t know it was so hard for so many to conceive.  Definitely having younger women experience difficulty makes you think there’s no chance for you.  But I choose to think positively and tell my body IT IS CAPABLE!
It’s not unprecedented.  Women our age have conceived before.  Be encouraged and good luck!

Yea I feel the same at 35.... I had 3 kids when I was 18,20and 22 so easily none of them were really planned... but it was like boom I was pregnant... now that I’ve been actually trying for one it isn’t happening... I’ve decided just to keep up with sex and period and not stress it will happen if and when it’s supposed to... good luck hun

I’m 41 about to be 42. Never been pregnant other than a recent chemical. My dr. Said that’s a good sign. It’s still possible. But I’m here to tell you that you aren’t alone. And that I’m in this journey with you. And that if you want to message me I’ll be there for you. You aren’t alone.

I had my first at 35.  My second at 44. It took time to fall pregnant but I didn’t do anything extraordinary.  You just have to work with what you’ve got and try not to worry too much about things beyond your control.  Best of luck to you all on your TTC journey!

Don’t give up!  We got pregnant naturally on our first cycle when I was 38 - now hoping for number two at 40. It can happen for anyone.
