When men cheat..

Question

Why is that some women say “if my man were to cheat I’d leave him” and say it with confidence. Then he cheats and some women find it’s just too hard to leave? They end up staying.

Because they don't value themselves enough.  They've settled for shit

Because no one knows what they will do until they are in that situation, 
I always say ,you just don’t know what you will do until that happens to you ....

They have low self esteem and he manipulates his way into staying by making it feel like its her fault for his cheating

I have ALWAYS said this. However until you’re in that situation it becomes different. It’s easier said than done. Not because you don’t value yourself, but because love is such a powerful thing.

It's easier said than done. In my mind, cheating isn't my biggest dealbreaker in a relationship. Weird, I know. However, if I was confronted with cheating, I don't know if I would feel that way.

I was that person and going through that situation now with my husband..what irritated me when i decided to come to glow and vent was how majority of the comments to me was that i don't value myself and that im basically foolish for believing that he would go to counseling..which he did and still is..nobody knows my husband,  despite the bullshit...and this is our first hump after being together for 7 years and married for 5..not saying im staying because im still on the fence about leaving...im not the same person after his affair and i found out i was pregnant a week after i found out about him cheating,  with our second and our rainbow..he's been remorseful for the last 2 months and showing that he's sorry but im pulling myself away from him...i said all that to say, you don't know what you'll do until it happens to you..good for the women that left their relationship but i don't think it makes u weak or stupid to work it out..i come from 2 broken homes that could've been fixed. I have friends that jumped straight to divorce and they express to me how hard life is being a single mom with kids...its love but mainly the potential that im seeing in my husband that keeps me here because he is way younger than me and he gave me reasons to why the affair happened...i don't let them justify his actions but at the same time, i do understand..idk what God has planned for me..or if my feelings will ever change towards him but right now im doing me..i got my foot in the door to nursing school,  enjoying my pregnancy and he's doing what he needs to do to kepp him family...and i have little to no support..we are military so away from family..im not ruining my stability based off emotions..my initial plan is to graduate next may with my Associates in Nursing and dip, if i would take advice from these women i would be alone, stressed and pregnant and my pregnancy is high risk..while i have the help of my children's father im going to use him for that.
