IBS and C-Sections?

Just had my first midwife appointment. I mentioned my IBS and wanting a C-Section. She said that C-Sections can cause IBS problems. Has anyone had a C-Section and experienced this? Does she mean long term or just as you're healing?

I have IBS and my c section didn’t make it worse at all. I’ve never heard that.

Why does having IBS cause you to want a c-section?

I’ve had two c sections and do not have ibs. If you want a c section your midwife should listen to you and give you a referral to an OB.
