Best form of birth control for a college student?

I’m pretty sure once I get to college I’ll be much busier, and right now I take an oral contraceptive and I’m pretty good at taking it at the same time everyday. As graduation gets closer a few of my friends are getting the iud & the bar in their arms. I’m wondering if maybe I should switch birth control methods too since I may get to busy to keep up with the pill. I’ve been on oral contraceptives for about 4 years now, and I was hoping to get some other opinions :)

I use to be on pill too and worked wonders for me but 3 kids needed something new the iud mirena is pretty amazing to me lasts 5 years no symptoms. They say for 3 to 6 months you can have irregular bleeding I only did for 2months pretty normal now but couple months of that ain't nothing lasts 5 years that's pretty awesome plus don't have to rememeber to take it everyday .

If the pill works for you now I would stick with it at least for the first few weeks of college to see if you can still keep up with taking it at the same time. If you struggle, which is quite possible, my schedule especially freshman year was crazy I never went to bed at the same time, then you would want to talk to your doctor about an alternative. I used the birth control patch for a while cuz I only had to switch it out once a week which was easy to keep track of. Different birth controls affect bodies in different ways though so it isn’t always as simple as picking the most convenient one.

In my opinion, you should stay with the oral pill because your body is already used to it. Different birth control methods don’t work the same for everyone- keep that in mind. The pill takes like less than a minute to take. Maybe set an alarm for it and take it before class? 
I’m a college student and haven’t missed a pill in years. If you want to switch to an IUD or another form of bc, do it now and see how your body reacts to it. For example, if you switch right before you leave for school, you might find problems with it and that will most likely make your life busier.
