Birth control and shortening period?

I’m on the pill and I want to not take all the inactive pills and start the hormone pills early so I don’t have my period during the weekend. Will this work? Can I double up on pills to stop it faster? Any opinions or advice appreciated.
I want to stop my inactive pills Wednesday then take two active pills Thursday and two Friday in hopes of my period being completely gone by Saturday!

I’ve put my period off a week or two by not taking the placebo pills but from my experience stopping the placebo pills early or taking extra active pills to stop your period wouldn’t work. I also would recommend messing with your pill pack and cycle like that. Just start a new pill pack instead of taking your off week pills, this will prevent your period from coming that week. If long term you are looking at getting a shorter period talk to your doctor about a different birth control that had specifically showed signs of doing that. My doctor put me on a 91 day pill pack, specifically for this reason of shortening my periods and making them come less frequently.

You can skip the whole inactive row and go ahead and start a new pack. This will skip your period completely for that month. Starting the inactive row for only two days, idk if that will shorten your period. I know skipping the inactive row completely and starting a new back will skip your period because I did it many times while on the pill
