Hello!! I’m turning 15 soon, and I’m wondering when some of you started working. My dad has never been one to just give me money, and I know that If I want to ever be able to afford anything, that I’m gonna have to earn my money. I’m nervous about starting to work because I don’t really have a lot of time, and because I’ve never had a job before.

Is this a good time to start looking??

One thing that I really want to do is to be a dishwasher at a restaurant- I know this doesn’t sound appealing at all but it’s the beginning to working your way into the position of a chef, which is what I want to be in the long run.

Along with this, I love swimming and would love to try lifeguarding. I’m a very strong pool and ocean swimmer, so I think that a lifeguard would be a suitable job for me.

I have done individual swim lessons for toddlers in the past, along with some babysitting for neighbors who all used their friendship connections to rip me off (so I’m choosing to stay out of that one)

So my question is: when you you all start working? Do you think this is a good time for me? Do you have any recommendations? Let me know! Love you all ❤️❤️❤️
