A girl one position above me quit last night, so my job is looking for someone with experience to fill the position. When I was hired, I was told I would get the opportunity to move up eventually just as everyone in the office did as well. I feel they should have asked me if I wanted the position before looking for someone else to fill it to begin with. Am I being dramatic or overreacting? It’s really annoying me just because these things don’t just happen.

Note: I did get with the boss and we’re going to discuss it tomorrow. It’s going to be very aggravating if he waited until tomorrow just to say no.
