Sensitive formula?

Question

For moms using sensitive formula, did you switch from a different formula? What signs indicated to you that sensitive was a better choice? Have you noticed a difference. 
My 6-week old is currently on Gentle (generic) and he is still very, very gassy and fussy (even during feedings), and strains when he poops (though his poops are not hard). Considering trying sensitive but wanted to get some thoughts, if possible.

I use enfamil enspire gentlease! My daughter is crazy fussy gassy and also has a hard time pooping ( 2 months old) this formula has changed our lives! Also try Doctor browns pink bottles with the slow flow nip and air vent. Combined she is barely gassy anymore and when she does get a gassy tummy ( like when she looks like a hot air balloon lol) I give her gas drops (mylicon) she is a very happy baby now!!

We switched because our girl was getting really gassy after each feeding and her poops were not quite hard but definitely one solid piece. She’s been much better on both accounts since the switch.

My son has the same problem. I notice he is uncomfortable often. Even during bottle feedings. He becomes stiff and cries and spits out his bottle. I went to see the dr and he confirmed he has reflux. Maybe your baby has reflux. I also find him very gassy and colicky in the evenings. I changed his formula to sensitive and I started him on probiotics. So far he’s slowly getting better. My Dr. told me not to go on sensitive formula he told me it wasn’t necessary, but you have to do what you feel is right for your baby.

How old is your baby? Took mine about a month to get pooping down, I think honestly, every baby kinda struggles with gas/poops especially in the first few months.... body has to learn to digest and move it along and out, ya know? My doctor recommended gas drops in bottles and then gripe water if we felt needed. I’d try that first. 
We tried sensitive formula because my son throws up A LOT, but it didn’t change much. We are now trying the “spit up” formula, seems to be doing a little better. 
My friend starts all her kids on sensitive off the bat though, just because. My doctor said to try what we think will be best, but to make sure you stick with it for 3-4 weeks before switching again/seeing if it works
