What formulas does everyone use and why?

What formulas does everyone use and why? What do you recommend? Currently exclusively breastfeeding but thinking of making the change to formula. With my job I am gone 14-16 hours a day 3-4 days a week and just don’t see it working out.

European formulas are better than American ones. I suggest Hipp, Lebenswert, or Holle. They use pure ingredients that are actually organic (they have higher standards for “organic”) and safe. After switching from Similac to Hipp my son no longer had gas or spit up issues, and he just generally seemed happier. I also believe in tasting everything I give my son, but Similac and Enfamil smelled so gross they made me gag. All of the European formula I used tasted/smelled super sweet and natural, especially Lebenswert.

HiPP Organic First Infant Milk Stage 1
HiPP has been amazing! My very sensitive daughter would projectile vomit form other formulas, but as soon as we switched to HiPP it stopped and her poop looks closer to what it was when she was exclusively breastfed.. probably has something to do with the organic ingredients and prebiotics/probiotics in the formula. I also dont have to worry about corn syrups, maltodextrin, sugars or other worrisome ingredients found in almost all US formulas. We get the one that states hypoallergenic. I also recommend a slow transition, and adding gerber probiotic soothe drops to a bottle the first 10 days if it seems your baby is having more gas than normal..it all depends on how sensitive your baby's stomach is to change. Gerber Soothe is literally the best formula. I tried both Enfamil and Similac before switching to Gerber. Enfamil and Similac smell disgusting and didn't help my daughter's colic at all. Regular Gerber was better, but Gerber Soothe is the best. I just recommended it to my cousin whose newborn was having issues with other formula and she said both her lactation consultant and pediatrician had just recommended Gerber Soothe as well.

I Have wic but they don’t cover Similac sensitive. So I just use the Walmart version. My daughter has never had a problem with it. We started supplementing with Enfamil gentlease but her stomach couldn’t handle it.
