I'm a bit late in posting my birth story..10weeks late in fact 😂 anyhow here goes... My baby girl was due 9th of december 2019. I had no signs of anything happening anytime soon. I wasn't due a sweep until the 16th and that felt like ages away.. then on Wednesday the 11th I woke up at 2am with mild but manageable aches/pains in my pelvic area that kept waking me up every 45mins. Then at 7am when I had gone to the toilet I had a pinky discharge..still had the achy pelvic area but that was it... then again at 5PM I had more of the discharge still along with the aches. These were total different aches to the ones I had when I was in labour with my son 12 years ago. When I sat down it felt as though there was pressure down below like something bulging on the chair or in the bath when I was in there. Me and my partner took my son through to my mams as a just incase and we went for some snacks for the hospital again just in case. Come 10pm the feeling was still there but no major changes. Then I must of fell asleep at midnight and woke up at 1am for the toilet.. that's when there was red blood and I panicked. So off to the hospital we went. It turned out to be my mucus plug but didn't look like what it does in the books lol. Now I'm trying to tell the midwife and staff that I feel like things are happening and I'm in labour but they didn't believe me and were going to send me home.. they decided to check me at 3am and I was 3/4cm dilated with bulging waters. But couldnt understand as I didnt seem to be in labour to them. The check then caused me to leak a little of the waters but again they didnt believe me until the checked the fluid. Then at 5am the aches in my pelvic were getting abit more close together.. but because I was still so calm and able to talk they still didnt believe me.. so another check and I was 7cm dilated. So they took me around to the delivery ward. Then by 7am Things started progressing a little bit more and I had to beg them to check me as I felt like I was wanting to push. they were telling me not to as they didnt think I was ready. I was 9cm dilated. That's when I started on the gas and air and by 8.10am my little girl was here 8lb3oz on the 12.12 19. Out of the hospital by 12.30pm as me and baby were doing so well.
