Pregnant while breastfeeding?

Did anyone in this group get pregnant while breastfeeding? My little guy is 14 months and still nursing. My cycle was late this month so I thought I might have been pregnant since my cycles have been pretty regular since 7 months postpartum. Do you ovulate while breastfeeding? I would love any insight from those expecting baby #2 in this group ♥️

I started to track my ovulation this month. I had my first real cycle last month. I'm on cycle day 20 of opks and I've gotten close to a positive but no positive. I'm still breastfeeding.

yup! I am 10 weeks pregnant while still breastfeeding my almost 15 month old. I just started to wean him because I am exhausted and feel that it’s time. But you most definitely ovulate while breastfeeding as long as your cycles have returned. Mine returned at exactly 10 months postpartum and I got pregnant 2 months later (it was planned).

I conceived my daughter while breastfeeding my son, he was just shy of being one. I got my period back when he was 9 months and then had 2 more periods before we got pregnant again. The week before my period was due I wasn’t pumping much milk out and I just felt different, I didn’t think anything of being pregnant, I was super stressed at work so that’s what I thought it was. I took a test the day after my missed period and it was positive, we found out on Easter. My son continued to breastfeed until he weaned himself at 18 months, I was 22 weeks pregnant and my milk began to change and he didn’t like the taste of that anymore😂😂 I never had any problems with nursing him while pregnant, well the morning sickness and feeding together weren’t so great🥴😂

My son is also 14 months and breastfeeding. I also found out I’m expecting. I’ve been tracking my cycles ever since my period came back so I know exactly when I conceived. 
Just want to add that Breastfeeding is not birth control. So you do ovulate.

I got pregnant again when my little was 11 months old but just found out last week. I’m 12 weeks now and my supply is starting to decrease drastically. A lot of people successfully dry nurse until their supply gets back up but I’m not sure if that’s the route we’re going to take.

Yup I concieved 7 months PP EBF my son. I lost my supply by the 2nd trimester but some women can BF throughout pregnancy without issue. Milk changes flavor and eventually shifts to colostrum and many babies self wean because of this.
