Switch to Femara

I took Clomid for 2 cycles, with an increase in dosage after the first. Didn’t ovulate either month, was having lots of pain and my cycles were very shortened. My dr suggested we take a break this cycle to let things get back to “normal” and make the switch to femara next cycle. Can I expect the same type of symptoms from this medication (hot flashes at night) and has anyone had success with ovulating on this med versus Clomid? Just wanting something positive at this point! Any suggestions or opinions welcome!
