Birth story for my last baby💙
So yesterday at 38+1 I had a growth scan scheduled at the doctor because my fundal height was so behind (5 weeks behind) and he measured a little small at my 36 week scan. On the scan he measured 35 weeks and about 5 pounds so they diagnosed him with iugr and told me I was going to be induced at 4 am because baby would thrive better on the outside at this point.
We woke up a little late this morning but got to the hospital around 4:15 am. They took blood and urine samples and started pitocin at 6:30 am. Doc came in about 7:15 am and broke my water and around 8:15 they gave me my epidural. I ended up napping with a peanut ball but overall labor was smooth and only took about 7 hours! At 1:01 pm he came out screaming! He needed to be under the heater for a min but despite being 5 pounds 3 oz 17 1/2 inches and born at 38+2, he hasn't needed any kind of nicu time or help of any kind. He was originally due March 2nd!
And he's such a good baby!! I'm in love!!
Over all I'm kinda sore but he was so small that I only had a couple tiny tears that weren't even big enough to stitch! I'm just waiting for friday so we can go home and I'm so ready lol here's a couple pics of my tiny love!
