Does it bother you when someone says your baby looks like your MIL

This makes me so mad. They’ll say she looks just like my husband or my MIL. I get so hurt and annoyed by it. Idk why

Both of my boys look exactly like my MIL with certain expressions. It’s their jaw shape.
I think it’s hilarious.
In fact, when my first son was born, literally, the first thing I said was when they held him up to us was, “oh my god! He looks just like YOUR MOM!”
Can’t help it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I feel ya. My baby BARELY looks like me. She's half 100% Cambodian and half white. So the more dominant genes took over which I expected, but still kinda affects me that I'll never hear how my baby looks just like me lol.

I get annoyed when people say my son looks my dad or brother. My brother is literally me with short hair. My son looks like me! Lol

No one has said that yet but I would probably start crying. My MIL was one of the most amazing people I’ve ever met and she passed away a year before my daughter was born. She was like w second mother to me, and my daughter is named after her. It wouldn’t bother me in the least, I would just get emotional.

Not my mil but both my kids are 100% their dad. They got nothing from me. I just accepted it, it did bother me a bit with my first though. With my second all I see is my husband so it doesn’t bother me anymore

I actually get offended when ppl say my boy looks like me or my grandpa haha
My whole pregnancy I expected my LO to look like his dad and even pictured what he looked like to be his dad's side. So know when ppl say he looks like my side of the family I actually don't like it haha 🤦‍♀️

I found it kinda weird after mine was born my MIL said sadly, “he doesn’t look like his grandma...” which confused me as her son doesn’t look a ton like her so why would her grandson? But she’s also a little over bearing and seems to forget the baby came from me and her son 🙄
