Any other babies on nutramigen or similar?

What are your plans at a year when most moms are switching to cows milk?
I'm not sure if I even want to try, I know they can grow out of it but I don't want my baby to be in pain if its still something that bothers her.

My first was on alimentum and we tried him on soy and it broke him out, almond milk doesn’t have enough calories so we switched to oat milk and it’s great for him. Silk did make this awesome combo of almond, cashew, and pea milk that had 10g protein and 8g fat so it was a great milk replacement and he loved it but sadly everywhere quit carrying it so it’s just the oat milk. Maybe where you are at they still carry it. Good stuff

My son is on Alfamino milk and I’ve been advised to try almond or oat milk when he is 12months

I was also wondering about this because our girl is on nutramigen and also has an egg allergy. We go back to our allergy clinic to try to expose her to eggs again near her first birthday but I’ve been wondering about just doing almond milk or a non-dairy milk alternative 🤔 I’m planning on asking our pediatrician at the 9 month appointment soon

My oldest son was on pure amino dha formula. He couldn’t even handle nutramigen or alimentum and at one we slowly started to introduce yogurt and cheese (easier to digest than milk). He had a few butt rashes so we would stop, wait a few weeks and try again. We only had to do that twice and then he was fine! We also went in to do an allergy test and it came back negative so we knew to keep trying, his body just needed to adjust.

Our doctor had us try regular formula again a couple of weeks ago. Her whole body turned red like she was sun burnt. She’s also allergic to eggs and soy, so the pediatrician wants her to go on coconut milk when she turns a year.

Yup my babe had been on it since 4m and I’m going to try whole milk when she’s a year old and if that doesn’t work I will work with pediatrician to see what our options are

My son is 9 months and he’s been on nutramigen since a month old. I’m going to try cows milk and see how he does. If he doesn’t do well on it I’ll try oat milk or almond milk
