My traumatic birth story😭😠

Ch

I decided to have a home birth. I was working with the meadowsweet Midwifery ladies. Now the main lady running the busness.had been doing this midwifing thing for decades she had seen birth help women give birth been her own midwife.and her student was still learning she was only a dula she had not had all the experience that the main lady had. I felt a wired POP! And it felt just like that! POP! My water broke on the table at 3:30 pm. so i went home relaxed hydrated and ate while my mom and hubby got the room ready with all out stuff for the birth. Towels, pads, large pads for the bed all the works right. I was having contractions ever 6-7 minuets by this point and they lasted about 5 minuets. Then they got closer together. So the midwives showed up with all of there gear. At this time it was about 7pm. My contractions were getting even closer(mind you im a young mommy and don't fully understand how the contraction timing thing worked...) I was at 8 cm by 2am on December 13 2019. Then the student midwife asked me if i felt like i was ready yo push while she was messing with my cervix. The were messing with my cervix. She was messing with it for quite a while.... And caused my cervix to swell so much so that i went from 8 cm to 5 cm. I was having the worst contractions after that 20x worse then the regular contractions because my daughters head was crowning when they made my cervix swell. Her head was stuck in my 5cm wide cervix! Then the head midwife finally decided to "call it" witch means that we were going to the hospital. We were prepared for the hospital as a just incase type situation. I was in so much pain i couldn't walk i couldn't get into the car. I was in so much pain. The "counter pressures" do not work!!!! I was in constant pain. Once i got to the hospital in the room i got an epidural. Instantly the pain was got they put a catheter in. At this time it was 12 pm ever half hour to an hour the nurse was making me move from side to side because my daughters heart rate would drop all the way to 64 beats per minuet. But finally her heart rate was okay. So i fell asleep 20 minuets later 6 nurses rushed into my room with my doctor! Turning me trying to may my daughters heart rate go back to normal but nothing was working they even had me on oxygen. One of the nurses ripped out my catheter then my doctor said we need to have an e mergamcey C-section! This was the scariest thing i ever had to do i was so scared and my hubby couldn't come in the room with me my mom had just left to take a shower she and my hubby had been with me all night and day! At this time is was 3pm. I had to have the doctor nock me out because i was so scared and stressed. Finally an hour later i was woken up by a nurse slapping my hands away from my face because i could stop scratching it. And the first things i was was my hubby holding our beautiful daughter and my beautiful family. My mom my dad my cousins and my aunty. I was so great full to see and know that me and my daughter were alive and well.

They biggest thing i learned from this experience was that home birth are a terrible idea and kotos to those who can do it have have midwives that don't hurt your cervix because i will never ever do that again i wil be in a hospital and my daughter will be in a hospital when she decides to have children.

My midwives were awful!!!!!!!!!😠

Me and my baby could have died because the head midwife wasn't doing her job. She should have been helping me instead of taking notes the whole time.

Plus when i was finally coherent and good about 3 days later! My doctor told me that the note the midwives took sounded like i was no wear close to ready to gibe birth to my daughter and still had to wait for my body to finish dilating.

These ladies were very very incompetent!

I do not recommend them in any way shape or from! Nor do i agree with home births!
