Dairy AND soy ?!!!?!?!??

any mommies here with babies that are intolerant to dairy and soy formula ? we took our LO to the doctor and she said it sounded like she had a dairy intolerance so she had us switch to similac soy isomil and it worked so well for like half a week and then all her problems started coming back

Yes my daughter has a milk protein allergy. She is now on Similac alimentum and doing  wonderful. Prior to that her gas pains were terrible. Have her stool tested for milk protein allergy. Doctor told me soy would make it worst. And if you breastfeed no dairy in moms diet. Also FYI my insurance company is reimbursing us for the formula since she has a milk protein allergy.

Yes! They are a related allergy. Our GI said that our baby would most likely grow out of it by the time he is 2.

My daughter would projectile vomit every feed, and that's even after using a goat milk based formula. I finally found an amazing hypoallergenic formula from Germany called HiPP hypoallergenic pre, and since then she no longer vomits, she is less gassy, and her poop is closer to what it was like when she was exclusively breastfed. It's a little more expensive than US formulas, but it doesnt contain corn syrups , maltodextrin, sugars, and other terrible ingredients. Here is the link if you want to check it out.

We order it off a site called Hollehippos. I also use gerber probiotic soothe that has cut down even more on gas and keeps her bowels more regular. I add 5 drops of it a day to one of her bottles.

Have you tried goat’s based milk? The lactose content is significantly lower.
