Separation anxiety when I’m with him 24/7?!

Elizabeth

Has anyone dealt with separation anxiety in their child when you don’t even leave the house? My son is 3, and I work from home 30 hours a week. My husband also works from home most of the time, but he goes into the office 2-3 times a week, and my mom and sister babysit during those times. My son literally has access to me at all times of the day and night, but he doesn’t ever want to be alone and he’s usually mostly clinging to me. It got worse when he had the flu, which i guess is completely normal, cause most kids want their mommy when they are sick, but I noticed that he’s still clinging to me even though he’s better... especially at night. He refuses to sleep alone. He senses when I try to get up to do anything, and he’s usually awake and crying for me within a half hour of me getting up. Sometimes my husband is able to get him to calm down, but other times, he just continues to cry for me. My husband is really good with him, and is even more patient than I am at most times, so I just don’t understand. Anyway, has anyone experienced anything similar? Any tips or suggestions?
